All original throughout. Capacitors, resistors and all electrical components have never been changed since 1947! A span of 61 years! Not many things can survive a span of 61 years. But this amp did. For the best performance it is recommended old caps and resistors be replaced. For now they are in working condition. Since the amp is all original, we decided not to change or replace any components. Let the new owner replace the components. Most serious buyers and collectors of vintage Western Electric prefer the tube equipment to be original. So here is one Stock and Original WE 124C. The fuse is the original screw mounted type. There is an old aluminum cover over the fuse. It just covers the fuse. Cosmetically the amp is in excellent condition considering it is 61 years old. Take a look at pictures below. You'll be amazed at the condition it is in. I was. An RCA Jack was installed in the amp for testing purposes. You can easily remove this RCA Jack. The Speaker Pigtail wire is 16 Ohms. This too can easily be removed. No holes drilled in the chassis. Check my other auctions for more old tube equipment. Thank you and Good Luck : ) : )
