Description gerardart Store Vintage WELTRON GEC 2007 UFO Stereo RETRO Space Age! On offer here is a vintage WELTRON/GEC 2007 stereo unit. The bright yellow plastic is unfaded and not cracked with only very light marks/scuffs(Should polish out easily with Polyglaze e.t.c.). The radio tuner is working as are both the internal speakers. Only one of the lights is working(please see last photo). The radio tuning dial light was working up until a week ago. Instrument faceplate is in excellent condition but missing a few knobs(can be operated without).  Turntable platter is not spinning but when lightly touched, the stylus gives audio signal(I would assume the tone arm/cartridge/stylus are working). When the platter is rotated by hand, the auto cue function seems to work and rotation is smooth. I have not been able to test the tape unit as I have no tapes(cannot hear motor when fast forward activated though!). The unit is equipped with small castor wheels. The yellow lift off plastic top has no hinge or lid present(please see close up). Overall, if you collect and restore these units, then this would be a good starting point.
