Description
Two McIntosh MC30 Tube Amps. Serial numbers 4E397 and 2E621. I've owned them for almost two years and have used them exclusively with vintage Altec speakers. I have two other pairs of McIntosh tube amps and since these are the prettiest of the MC30s they are going first. I got them serviced about a year ago and they are ready to go right out of the box and will run great for another 40 years. They have the same identification marks scratched onto the surface but they obviously weren't purchased together as the lettering on one is in much better condition than the other. There is some pitting on both and one has a slight dent in one of the transformer covers but they are both otherwise in excellent condition inside and out as the photos show. I didn't have enough space to show more detailed photos of the surface but I will gladly send photos on request with an email address. I package stuff with the worse case scenarios in mind. They will be double boxed with good padding and the tubes will be removed and wrapped separately. I generally ship UPS Ground unless the buyer requests otherwise and I will charge $10.00 for materials. The $100.00 shipping amount is a number that I drew out of the air and by the time the auction ends I will have the proper size and weight to calculate the shipping. I will ship to Canada, Mexico and overseas and will calculate the shipping based on your location. Local pickup is welcome for so many reasons and since many people drive to Las Vegas from the surrounding states it might be an idea to consider and if you're already planning a trip I will gladly hold them with a deposit. I will also hold them on 'lay away' for a few months with a deposit and/or payments and ship them when they are fully paid. It may be the difference of getting what you want when it's available instead of when you have the cash. I have absolutely no doubt that the buyer will be very pleased with these amps but they are 40+ years old and they are being sold 'As Is' just to protect my ass in the event of shipping damage or something unexpected. I know that they're working very well but I don't intend to stick anyone with a dud if they arrive damaged as a result of something that may have been ready to go and was jarred enough during shipping to break it. If there is something wrong I'll make it right. Please look at my feedback for an indication of my integrity. I'm a vintage audio enthusiast that goes through a lot of stuff in my quest for sound and I'm not simply flipping unknown merchandise. Every piece that I buy is intended for my personal use even if I don't end up keeping it. I treat everything well and I want it working properly. I try to treat buyers the same as I would like to be treated as a buyer and I won't sell anything with a known issue unless it's clearly stated. However, I don't always know if something is ready to fail and if something is broken when the buyer receives it I'll pay all or part of the repair bill or take it back.
