Description TANNOY Cornetta Rear-loaded Horn Speaker utilizing the Tannoy 10-inch Red coaxial driver and original Tannoy crossover. This is an extremely rare speaker from Tannoy! In fact, the original paperwork for this speaker was lost in a fire at Tannoy years ago. Works perfectly and sounds great. I have never been able to find a mate for it, so am reluctantly selling it. Original cone is perfect with no tears, discoloration, etc. Surround has no holes, flaws, either. I will also include a copy of the original Tannoy advertising brochure for it.The Tannoy emblem, on the upper left portion of the grill cloth, is broken and a portion of it remains. Weight before packing is 76 pounds, so I would estimate the packed weight at 85 pounds. Dimensions are 34 ¾ inches tall X 16 1/8” deep X 18 ½ inches wide.DOMESTIC SHIPPING: please note that this is an oversized package and triggers the UPS higher shipping rate. I entered my estimate of the weight and dimensions into eBay's shipping cost calculator, but I will determine the exact shipping cost at the end of the auction, after I have packed and weighed the speaker on my professional scales.OVERSEAS SHIPPING: Please do not use the eBay shipping cost calculator for overseas shipping. I got a quote from BAX Global of $171.21 to either the Tokyo or Hong Kong airport. Delivery-to-your-door service will be somewhat more. I will also charge a packing/handling/transportation fee of $100, since I will need to make a two-hour round trip to deliver it to the BAX Global shipping center at the airport. Please note that BAX Global will only insure a speaker up to $500. No claim can be made above that value. I will pack it with 2-inch thick styrofoam and a box around that, which is how it was safely shipped to me. If you want it crated, I would have to charge that in addition. It would probably be another $200 to crate it, I would estimate. I will find out exactly, if desired (at end of auction).
