I recently pulled it out and played it, which it did so very nicely. I then did a recording to which it also did it well. The overall condition is a 9 out of a 10, (10 being new!). The sound of my old tape was also nice! Although my taste in the music was hmmm, not as good as I remember! I will include both the take up reel and the one maxell reel with this unit. These machines were in their day, one of the best reel to reels on the market, this one also was one of the first to have "dolby!" VERY NICE! You don't find these machines in this condition very often on ebay or at you local audio store.
