Description
Scott 330D AM/FM Tube Tuner, 1962, Binaural, Super Clean. Prior to advent of FM stereo multiplex, H.H. Scott AM/FM tuners were equipped for "simulcast" stereo reception (sometimes referred to as "binaural" broadcasts). Many stations would broadcast the left channel program content on FM and the right channel program content simultaneously on their AM affiliate station. Just so there is no confusion you will not receive modern "stereo" broadcasts on this tuner, this is a mono FM tuner. Super clean, low hours, all original example. If you are looking for a super clean unfooledaroundwith example of this gold anodized faceplate, 12 tube classic, you should consider this example a must have. This 3330D's faceplate is almost flawless, super clean with a couple of very minor scraches. No faceplate bent corners, dings or gouges along the gold anodized aluminum faceplate edges. No silk-screen wear at the controls. Faceplate from this era of Scott's production are much darker gold compared to the later productions faceplates. Photos do not show how dark the gold anodization really is. Dials are very clean with no cracks. Chassis is clean with a couple of very minor stains. Rear mounted AM antennae is intact and no cracked or broken. Transformer has no rust. Tuner has been serviced - Tube sockets and controls cleaned, tubes have been checked with an accurate TV-7 and replaced with fresh vintage stock if needed. Tuner sounds great in FM and AM. Scott tuners will pick-up all the stations you are familiar with and quite a few more. It doesn't matter if you use a three foot length of wire or a directional antennae on a mast. This model will surprise you with just how many stations you could not receive with other tuners PayPal—eBay's service to make fast, easy, and secure payments for your eBay purchases!
