It still has the original (unbroken) AM antenna, that alone says a lot about how well it was always cared for, right there in my own living room. Check out the images very closely. The lamps are all glowing brightly, even that wonderful 4Channel indicator. Then look at the rear connectors and although a little dusty, you'll see this Sansui is still in first rate shape! This one ain't some nasty piece of crap that's been laying around neglected and forgotten in someone's garage! And here's the proof, because most amazing of all, I will include ALL the original paperwork that came with this unit!Check out the QRX-7001's full specifications, they're right there in the original paperwork!That's right, believe it or not, along with this fine unit comes the ORIGINAL operating manual, listings of service locations,a virtually non-existent ORIGINAL - CD-4 QUAD adjustment record and perhaps best of all, the original schematic diagram of this fine unit. If it should ever require service, this one piece of paper alone is literally the holy-grail of any possible future service needs!Hold on to your socks, because I even have the original sales brochure for this fine 4 channel Tuner/Amp! Now that's something you won't ever see again, and I will include that as well! You can see some of it in the images.You sure as heck won't find this kind of paperwork anywhere else!Of course with any unit this old, there are a few very MINOR scratches and dings.Some of the knobs are a bit stiff so they'll need a good shot of tuner lube. Which should do the trick.Although I no longer have speakers to test it with, after switching off the speaker output it was plugged it in and just like the dependable piece of equipment it always was, all of the lights came on and the indicators still work!The output and input for the speakers and axillary jacks are all in really great condition, just a little dusty.So yeah, it needs a little TLC, but very little to once again produce the kind of sound people today can only dream about!-----------------------Remember when looking at this unique item, that this receiver comes from a bygone era. A time when SANSUI was one of the pathfinders - if not the absolute groundbreaking leader - in the finest of all quadraphonic receivers and amplifiers ever built! SANSUI equipment stood and still stands, head and shoulders above the rest since they alone possessed both the highest quality assembly and used carefully selected components. These fine pieces of equipment were cleverly designed to provide the cleanest, most conservative output power ever produced.
