Pioneer RT-707 Reel to Reel Recorder   auto reverse with the original reels a rare find in this condition Please read entire description before bidding...... I've put a considerable amount of time into testing this unit, everything appears to be working. I acquired this reel to reel tape deck from a local school system, they used it to make recordings of their band. I spent a few minutes talking to a man at the school when I purchased this. He informed me that this was used to make recordings of the school band, and that they had three of these machines and this one was used for payback in studio the other two where taken on location. It does have some engraving on the back of the case, school name and ID #. A friend of mine is into using real to reel recorders and has been doing so since the 1970s with a Teac. He came over to my house with his demagnetizer, Teac cleaning kit, and demagnetized the heads, cleaned the heads, cleaned the rollers. And thoroughly looked over the recorder said in his opinion it looked really good. So we proceeded to play a tape that he recorded in the 70s and everything worked really great and sounded awesome. However, being a very particular person, he wasn't happy with that, so we also plugged in the microphone he had brought with and tested the inputs left and right channel they are working as they should. Then he insisted that we load a blank tape and record a full 45 minute reel to ensure the recording was working as it should, and it was. Then we rewound the tape we had just recorded and played it back. The one we just recorded sounded even better than the 70s tape he brought with him, probably because it was just recorded prior to listening to it. As you can see in the images below the front of the panel has a couple figure print from me no major marks or scratches. When I was taking the pictures of the reel to reel deck. I use an extremely bright  flash unit, I was able to get a really good look inside of the unit through the ventilation slots, and it's amazingly clean inside...
