NEW DIGITAL HD Radio VISTEON HD JUMP HDP250 + Car Kit Start Price USD 144.77 Current Price USD 144.77 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Wednesday, November 19, 2008 End Time Monday, November 24, 2008 Location Home of the MudHens See more about 'NEW DIGITAL HD Radio VISTEON HD JUMP HDP250 + Car Kit ' Description   For sale is a new-in-sealed-plastic Visteon JUMP Model HDP250 HD radio with the car mounting kit.  Please see all the photos that I have taken of the actual unit that you’ll be receiving, plus two photos of my unit to show you the display in action.   HD radio includes a digital version of your local analog AM and FM radio stations.  The AM in HD can sound as good as an FM station (and is in stereo in some cases), and FM in HD can sound as good as a CD.  In addition, some FM stations also transmit a second or third channel that can be received in the local area!  This radio can pick-up your local ANALOG AM & FM stations, in addition to the HD or digital versions.  It takes a couple of seconds for your radio to ‘lock-in’ to the digital HD signal and HD-2 or HD-3 signals (where available) after you change stations.  When the radio switches into digital you’ll get the song titles and artists at some stations as well.  Plus, some analog FM stations also broadcast RDS information (RBDS) and this radio can receive that, if they’re transmitting it.  Note that some HD-AM stations do not broadcast in HD at night.  In my opinion, where this radio really shines is in the ability to tune to adjacent FM stations that your current radio cannot.  I have an FM station here on 103.7, and there is a station that I could not hear on 103.9 until I used an HD radio.  Now I can hear first adjacent FM stations.      This radio has an “AUX” input for your MP3 player and a sweet remote control.  You can pick what FM frequency you want this HD radio to ‘broadcast’ to your existing FM radio on!   I believe in the Golden Rule, so I want to make sure you’re clear on what you’re purchasing.  You’re buying one new condition, in sealed plastic, in the box, Visteon HD JUMP HD radio unit with car/mobile mounting/wiring kit.  UPDATE: Unit is factory fresh – and the barcode IS on the bottom of the box.  If you want to use this in your home, you will have to purchase your own HD Jump Home Kit or add a 12VDC power supply and antennae.  (Be careful as some sellers are selling these radios without the car kit.)  I am not an “official reseller”, just a ham radio guy, so this unit is NOT eligible for any special promotions from the manufacturer or others.   If you are the lucky winner, you are asked to please contact me within 3 days of auction close.  Payment is expected within 5 days of close of auction.  Bidder feedback must be greater than one.   Please email me for any and all questions about HD radio and I will be more than happy to reply.  Please see the photos and contact me for any questions.  Please also visit any other auctions I might have at this time.  Bid now so that you don't miss-out.   Shipping cost is $12.00 for United States Mail Priority Mail to the USA only.  PayPal only please.  Good luck bidding; and I hope that you're enjoying Thanksgiving Time.    Happy Bidding!
