I know you are thinking this guy is nuts, its a really nice radio but not worth the price. MAYBE / MAYBE NOT. Here is the deal. I bought this radio at an estate sale for the tubes in it. If you notice I sell a lot of them on E bay. This was a nice enough radio that I decided to check into it. Gues What? There is very little info out there on thei particular model of radio. Here is the info I was able to get so far. Make: USL Broadcast Receptor Model: Ua - 6 MFD Date: 1926 Cost at time of MFD: $80.00 Power source: Battery Type: Table top Case: Solid wood / Bakelite face and knobs Cabinet size: 21" wide, X 10" Tall, X 11 1/2" Deep Weight: 18.6 pounds Tubes: 6 - 3ct CX 301-A, 1ct UX 201-A, 1ct UX 112-A Knobs: 5 - Resonance, Selectivity, Power, Wavelength, And Volume Thats all I know folks other that that it is a beautifull radio. Check out the pictures for yourself. There is one dent and some scuff marks in the top, and the finish is faded slightly on the sides and back but I wouldn't do anything to it. The dial action is very smooth, with no hesitation or skips. I have never seen an old tube radio that is constructed so well or is as clean a construction on the inside. There appears to be gear to gear action on the control knobs, with a solid brass ribbon for the second wavelength control (couldn't get a good picture of it in that tight of space) The power cord is the only part that looks bad. If you replace it and carefully power it up it may even work. I would have an expert look at it though, as there are usually old capacitors that go bad in tube equipment. I WAS NOT ABLE TO TEST THIS RADIO. The main purpose of this posting is to get more info on this radio. If any of my information is incorrect please let me know. Of course if you really have to have this radio for your collection I would be happy to sell it to you. I am taking advantage of the promo they are doing on fixed price listings to get this radio out there. I will consider all reasonable offers while it is posted.
